Application Specialist: Precision Machining (100%)

These tasks await you

• Development, optimisation and validation of machining processes in grinding, lapping and polishing
• Planning, execution and evaluation of trials for customer applications and internal development projects
• Development of process-reliable machining solutions for demanding workpieces and materials
• Selection and evaluation of suitable tools, abrasives as well as lapping and polishing media
• Measurement and analysis of workpieces regarding geometry, form and positional accuracy as well as surface quality using state-of-the-art metrology
• Interpretation and documentation of measurement results and derivation of optimisation measures
• Preparation of technical reports, evaluations and presentations in German and English
• Technical support of customers on site as well as conducting trials and process optimisations at the customer
• Close cooperation with sales, product management and research & development
• Operation, maintenance and care of the machines and measuring systems used

What you bring with you

• Technical basic training with experience in manufacturing or precision machining
• Enthusiasm for technical contexts, metrology and process optimisation
• Experience in grinding, lapping or polishing is an advantage
• Analytical thinking as well as an independent and structured way of working
• Enjoyment in developing solutions for demanding customer applications
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• French skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel and enjoyment of personal exchange with customers
