About the job
Apprenticeship as Facility Maintenance Specialist for Sports Facilities (2027 - 2030)
We look forward to welcoming you from summer 2027
During your three-year training, you will work where others enjoy their leisure time, for example at the lido, the artificial ice rink, or the sports ground. Together with your team, you help ensure that sports and recreational facilities are clean, safe, and operational.
You are responsible for the care and maintenance of the facilities, look after green spaces and paths, check the water quality in pools, or prepare the perfect ice for ice sports. Cleaning tasks, minor repairs, and the use of modern machinery are also part of your daily routine. You often work outdoors, are physically active, and assist as a lifeguard in supervising bathers. In doing so, you take responsibility for safety and quality.
- Completed secondary school
- Manual dexterity and technical understanding
- Enjoyment of practical work outdoors and with machinery
- Willingness to learn and perform, reliability, and sense of responsibility
- Physical resilience and ability to swim
- Interest in sport and enjoyment of varied work
The Wetzikon city administration offers you a solid training in a motivating and supportive environment. You will be personally supervised by our training manager and benefit from the experience of well-trained practical instructors. Additionally, you can look forward to 27 days of holiday per year, an annual apprentice excursion, a creative project week, as well as contributions towards teaching materials and a notebook. We promote your independence, strengthen team spirit, and open up diverse development opportunities for you after your apprenticeship, including within our administration.
We look forward to receiving your online application with a cover letter, CV, certificates, and trial apprenticeship reports.
