The position becomes available as part of an internal development within our purchasing team. In this exciting and versatile role, you are responsible for developing a market-appropriate and demand-oriented outdoor textile assortment. You consistently implement the purchasing strategy, further develop the brand and private label portfolio, and contribute significantly to the economic success of the category. In addition, you lead a team of two employees. Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of a demand-oriented purchasing plan for the outdoor textile sector
- Responsibility for supplier management and procurement of goods under optimal conditions
- Achievement of defined targets regarding sales, margin, gross profit, price reductions, and inventory turnover
- Conducting price, contract, and condition negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Planning of goods receipts, sales, reductions, and reorders
- Development and further development of the brand and private label portfolio including collection planning and calculations
- Conducting market, trend, and competitor analyses
- Definition and management of the assortment for stores and online shop
- Close cooperation with marketing and participation in campaigns, flyers, and other communication media
- Regular visits to stores, suppliers, and trade fairs domestically and abroad
- Leadership, promotion, and development of the purchasing team
- Commercial basic training or training in retail, preferably in the areas of sport, shoes, or fashion
- Further training in purchasing (e.g. purchasing specialist with federal certificate) or comparable business management training
- Several years of professional experience as a purchaser in the areas of sport, shoes, or fashion
- Very good industry, market, and assortment knowledge, ideally in the outdoor sector
- Strong business understanding and very good numerical skills
- Analytical and conceptual thinking as well as a structured and independent working style
- Fluent German and English skills
- Communicative, convincing personality with negotiation skills and leadership experience
- Passion for sport, especially outdoor activities
