As a Health Specialist (FaGe), you accompany, care for and support people during illness and in their daily lives. In this context, you assist them in organising their daily routines and perform medical-technical tasks such as blood sampling, changing dressings, or preparing and administering medication. Administrative and logistical services are also part of your duties.The Requirements
To work as a Health Specialist (FaGe), various prerequisites are necessary. Empathy, a respectful attitude and enjoyment of communication are essential, as dealing with patients requires a great deal of sensitivity. Attentiveness, diligence, flexibility and organisational talent are equally important to meet the demands of healthcare. Good German language skills (B2 to C1 CEFR) and a sense of responsibility are indispensable to communicate with patients and the interdisciplinary team and to bear responsibility for the well-being of our care recipients. Physical and mental resilience are also necessary, as the work is often physically and emotionally demanding. Sociability, teamwork, accuracy and an interest in medicine and healthcare are advantageous. Patience, respect, helpfulness and a sense of responsibility complete the profile of requirements.Application Procedure
Applications for apprenticeships starting in 2027 will be accepted from 3 July 2026. This year, the selection will take place on 12 and 19 August 2026. We ask for your understanding that applications from persons residing in the districts of Gersau, Küssnacht and Schwyz will be given preference. During the selection, we ensure that Schwyz Hospital is easily accessible by public transport at the respective start of duty.
