Rethinking waste management. Shaping the future. You will take charge of a versatile and demanding department with great development potential. In the coming years, pioneering projects are planned: the expansion of the city-owned landfill as a generational project, the construction of a new municipal recycling centre, and the optimisation and digitalisation of waste logistics. A leadership role with responsibility, scope for creativity, and the opportunity to sustainably develop a large and significant operational area.

Your tasks

Personnel, financial and organisational management of the department with a total of 55 employees
Control of waste logistics and responsibility for efficient, clearly structured and reliable processes
Ensuring the economical and safe operation of the city-owned landfill
Coordination of cross-departmental projects in the area of waste management and landfill (especially incineration plant)
Organisational and strategic further development of the operation

Your profile

Higher education in business administration, engineering, logistics, environment/waste management or comparable qualification
Strong affinity for solving logistical challenges, ideally with relevant experience
Experience with administrative processes is an advantage
Enjoyment of working in a craft-oriented environment and corresponding communication skills
Assertiveness, decisiveness and at the same time a cooperative and appreciative leadership style
