Building Technician / Technical All-Rounder

Then the Volkshaus Basel could be just the right place for you.

As support for our Technical Manager, you help ensure that the hotel, restaurant, event rooms and our infrastructure function reliably. You repair, organise, coordinate and assist with projects. In short: you are deployed where technical understanding, initiative and a cool head are required.

Your tasks:

• Carrying out maintenance, repair and servicing work
• Painting, assembly and minor craft work
• Supervision and monitoring of technical systems and facilities
• Support with building, security and surveillance systems
• Participation in technical projects, conversions and investments
• Coordination and accompaniment of external craftsmen and suppliers
• Support with maintenance planning, documentation and orders
• Contact person for technical concerns of our employees
• Support of the team with technical challenges in daily operations

You bring with you:

• Completed craft or technical training with several years of professional experience
• Handy skills and enjoyment in getting stuck in yourself
• Technical understanding and interest in building technology and technical systems
• Enjoyment of a varied working day between technology, organisation and coordination
• Ideally knowledge in electrical engineering, building maintenance or building services (authorisation for general electrical installations NIV15 is an advantage but not a must)
• Good PC user skills
• Independent, reliable and structured way of working
• Friendly manner and good interpersonal skills
• Good German and spoken English skills
