PH Zurich actively shapes education, school and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The Secondary Level I department is responsible for the training of teachers at secondary level I. It currently offers four master's degree programmes as well as subject extensions that impart professional competences for teaching at secondary level.
Practical training is a core element of the studies for prospective teachers. From the first weeks of study, students gain insights into the professional everyday life at public schools in the canton of Zurich and take on increasing responsibility for the design of lessons during their studies. PH Zurich and the school field pursue a common goal. They train teachers who perform well in the complex system "school". Further information on the Cooperation School 2.0 model can be found here .
This is what you will do.
- Lateral leadership of a team of practical trainers at the cooperation school including quality development and assurance
- Acquisition, organisation and administration of practical training places as well as budget management
- Communication and coordination between the cooperation school and PH Zurich
- Building and maintaining a network with university representatives, school management and school authorities as well as the practical trainers at your own cooperation school
- Co-design of practical training at the cooperation school (exchange, further training, quality assurance) as an expert in school practice, together with mentors
- Participation in and organisation of events at the cooperation school and at PH Zurich

- Employment as a teacher at the cooperation school Meilen mandatory
- Several years of experience as a teacher at the target level and as a practical trainer
- Very good anchoring and networking in the staff at the schools belonging to the cooperation school
- Good organisational and structural skills
- Flexible and constructive handling of different role expectations
- High resilience, flexibility and enthusiasm for innovation
- Willingness and ability to communicate, especially proficiency in conducting conversations also in conflict situations
- Willingness to further qualify for this function
