About the job
The Rüti school comprises the primary and secondary schools. Around 1,400 pupils are taught, supported and encouraged in 70 classes. The primary school is organised into two school units.

Your tasks:
In this versatile role, you will share leadership responsibility for the Unterdorf school unit together with your two school management colleagues. You actively shape everyday school life and help ensure that our school remains a lively place for learning, working and living. Your tasks include in particular:
- operational management of the school unit in organisational, administrative, personnel and financial matters
- personnel and pedagogical leadership of teachers and other staff in the assigned area of responsibility
- co-responsibility for school and quality development as well as for the implementation of the school programme
- responsibilities and portfolio management according to agreement within the school management team
- responsibility within the school unit for the QUIMS area
- collaboration in school and quality development processes
- contact person for teachers, parents, pupils and authorities
- cooperation with internal and external specialist offices, day structures, school administration, education management and school board
- active participation in the school management conference of the Rüti school
- representation of the school internally and externally
Your profile:
You are a personality who can win people over, provide orientation and enable development. You lead with clarity, commitment and appreciation and keep an overview even in demanding situations. You bring with you:
- proven leadership experience, ideally in a school or educational environment
- completed school management training or willingness to complete it
- completed training as a primary school teacher is an advantage
- good knowledge of the Zurich primary school system or willingness to quickly and thoroughly familiarise yourself
- enjoyment of personnel management, school development and organisational leadership tasks
- ability to set priorities, prepare decisions and follow up on topics in a structured manner
- communicative strength in dealing with different stakeholders
- solution-oriented, resilient and reflective working style
- interest in diversity, inclusive schooling and equitable education
- a positive mindset, joy of shaping and a pinch of humour
