School Social Worker Primary School Obfelden 70%Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling Canton Zurich, branch office of the districts Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional school social work office. On behalf of schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure a low-threshold school social work service, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the primary school Obfelden, we are looking for a school social worker from 17 August 2026 or by arrangement.
Together with your team colleague, you advise and support young people, parents and teachers in educational and social matters. You are familiar with child protection and child welfare. In crises and conflicts, you carry out interventions in classes and groups. As far as possible, you also provide prevention and project work. In addition, you work with the school team of the school and with other specialist agencies.
For this task, we require a completed degree in Social Work at university of applied sciences level. Several years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-educational field with children and young people are desirable. You have skills in the areas of counselling, prevention, crisis intervention and project work as well as an independent and interdisciplinary way of working.
We offer you a varied, interesting and independent activity with annual working hours (compensation of school holiday time by increased workload during the school term). You will receive support from a professional, collegial team and can expect lively professional exchange and networking with other school social workers.
