Head of the Reception and Admissions Office of the CHUV Maternity
The Patient Administrative Management Service is looking to complete its team with a Head of the Reception and Admissions Office of the Maternity, between 80% and 100%. The starting date is scheduled for October 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Patient Administrative Management Directorate is responsible for welcoming and admitting patients upon their arrival at the hospital. It also manages the billing of services provided to patients and is responsible for medical coding and all contractual relations with health insurance companies.
The CHUV Reception and Admissions Unit has about 100 people, spread over 5 sites (Main hospital building, Emergency, Maternity, Children’s Hospital, and External buildings). The position of head of the CHUV Maternity office in Lausanne is to be filled from October 2025.
This office, located on the CHUV hospital campus in Lausanne, staffed by 17 employees, is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Mission
You are responsible for welcoming our patients by appointment or emergency and visitors, as well as for the quality of administrative data essential to compliance with the insurance framework necessary for clinical care and billing of our services.
- You supervise the employees of your reception and admissions office, as well as your integration officers
- You manage and develop work procedures and various projects
- You act as the professional reference "reception and admissions" for the clinical services of the CHUV Maternity
- You provide backup for other heads of reception and admissions offices.
Depending on profile, the salary class will be between levels 8 and 9.
Profile
- You hold a federal certificate of capacity in an administrative field and have at least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in a hospitality or healthcare reception area
- You have successful experience in team management
- You have good organizational and management skills
- You are able to establish and ensure professional procedures
- You master a foreign language
- You master the planning of complex schedules.
