About the job
Company Description
The KastGroup, headquartered in Wallisellen, specialises in the fields of Cyber Security and secure network infrastructure. Since 2014, we have been supporting organisations of various sizes with our services in identifying and achieving appropriate security goals or expanding and optimising existing network infrastructures.
Our expertise as well as our specialist know-how make us a competent partner and our team philosophy the ideal employer for currently 25 employees. We grow together with new challenges, bring passion, and do not just do a job, but deliver real work.
Job Description
Does this suit you?
Do you currently work in IT support or system administration and want to take the next step? Can you explain technical contexts so that they are understandable even without an IT background, and remain friendly and calm even when a customer’s system is down? Do you want to take responsibility for the environments you manage and develop in a direction that will benefit you in the long term?
Then we want to get to know you. A complete list of certificates is less important to us than willingness to learn, reliability, and a good manner with our customers. You will become part of Cyber Security with us and work with technologies you might not yet feel confident with. We will teach you the craft.
Your tasks
- You are the link between our customers and our technology, translating in both directions
- You support our Security Operations Center in daily operations, working with our SIEM and XDR platforms
- You manage the endpoint protection and XDR solutions of our customers, from commissioning through rollout to ongoing operation
- You investigate alerts from our systems, classify them, and inform customers clearly about findings and next steps
- You accompany the integration of new customer environments into our security platforms, from initial assessment to handover to operations
- You also provide technical support for our SME customers, remotely and on site
- You document systems, adjustments, and processes so that your colleagues can also work with them
- You support us in further developing our services
- Over time, you take on professional responsibility for individual customer environments and develop further towards Security Operations
Qualifications
We do not expect you to meet all points. What is important to us is that you fundamentally understand IT infrastructures. We will teach you the specific knowledge in the security field and the work with our platforms as part of a structured onboarding.
- You have already helped build and maintain infrastructures for SME customers, on site and remotely
- You are experienced in direct customer contact and explain technical contexts clearly
- Windows Server, Active Directory and other Windows services
- Basic Linux knowledge
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic networking (firewall, VLAN, VPN)
- Virtualisation is an advantage (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V)
- First contact with antivirus or endpoint solutions is an advantage
- Very good German skills, English for technical documentation
- Driving licence category B is an advantage, as we also support our customers on site in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
More important to us than specialist knowledge in a single area are solid practical basic skills. If you have already seen a bit of everything IT-wise and are willing to deepen your knowledge, you fit well with us.
