Behind the scenes at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, you will actively participate in our sustainable development approach and the optimisation of our responsible purchasing processes. A concrete role, at the crossroads of operations and strategy, to help make our hotel a committed and exemplary player in its sector.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Purchasing Manager, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Purchasing
- Assists with goods reception, cellar, and storeroom and ensures that storage and quality standards are respected.
- Contributes to stock management and the accuracy of theoretical and physical stock.
- Participates in quarterly inventories.
- Performs entries in Birchstreet with precision.
- Actively participates in the implementation and compliance with HACCP requirements and adheres to all hygiene and safety legislation.
Sustainability
- Is a member of the Sustainability committee,
- Participates in the operational and administrative monitoring of sustainability projects (environmental certification audit, food waste, sustainable practices in catering, waste treatment, plastic elimination, energy efficiency).
- Ensures data quality and performs entry into the GAIA platform to guarantee regular KPI monitoring in compliance with Accor group procedures.
- Contributes to the drafting of internal and external analysis and reporting documents.
- Assists with coordination, logistics, and communication of occasional CSR events within the hotel.
- Assists in planning the calendar and drafting committee minutes.
- Acts as a sustainability ambassador among colleagues and other departments.
- Respects ergonomic work standards and Health & Safety instructions.
- Complies with department policies and procedures.
- Performs any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Internship as part of a hotel training programme.
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Ease with IT tools: Microsoft Office Word – Birchstreet.
- Ability to work physically.
- Ability to work weekends and/or evenings during major events.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
