The Märtplatz Foundation supports young people with psychological and social difficulties on their path to vocational training and independent living. In various professional fields, we create practical training places with the aim of professional integration.

Due to the retirement of our long-standing workshop manager, we are looking for a

Workshop Manager: Joinery 100%

You combine solid joinery craftsmanship with vocational training and enjoy accompanying and supporting young people on their way into the working world. Together with our learners at EFZ and EBA level, you realise individual customer orders and marketable products made of solid wood.

Your tasks

• Professional and personal support of learners in their training and development

• Planning and organisational implementation of internal and external customer orders together with the learners

• Ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines

• Maintaining customer contacts while considering the training goals of our learners

• Designing and further developing the service offering of the joinery

• Close cooperation with the department management, case management and other training areas

• Collaboration with external bodies such as IV and vocational schools

Your profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a joiner EFZ

• Experience in training and supporting learners

• Experience in work preparation as well as in the complete handling of customer orders

• Enjoyment and craftsmanship skills in working with solid wood

• High social competence, resilience, empathy and humour

• Interest in the combination of craftsmanship and pedagogy as well as in resource- and solution-oriented support

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as confident PC user skills

• Driving licence category B
