Your missions
The incumbent is responsible academically and operationally for an institute active in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation and organisational development. They contribute to strengthening applied research, developing interdisciplinary projects and anchoring HEG-FR in its economic, institutional and academic environment.
- Develop and position the institute's activities in line with HEG-FR's strategic priorities and the needs of its environment
- Structure and lead the institute in the key areas of a business school
- Initiate, acquire and manage projects, notably with third-party funding
- Enhance the scientific quality, impact and valorisation of the institute's activities, notably through publications, performance indicators and knowledge transfer
- Contribute to the development of the new research organisation, promoting clear, collaborative and evolving governance, as well as better coordination between teams
- Strengthen the link between research, teaching and field needs, notably by integrating the institute's themes into bachelor, master and continuing education programmes
- Design and deliver practice-oriented teaching in bachelor, master and continuing education programmes
Desired profile
- Doctorate in a relevant field, such as strategic management, operational management and value chains
- Proven experience in applied research, third-party funding acquisition, project management and collaboration with external partners
- Good knowledge of issues related to entrepreneurship, innovation and organisational development, whether in companies of various sizes, public, social or umbrella organisations
- Proven experience in acquiring and managing third-party funds
- Ability to gradually develop a vision, with an agile approach adapted to needs, while uniting teams and establishing collaborative governance
- Experience in tertiary education and interest in the articulation between teaching, applied research, service provision and knowledge transfer
- Academic, economic or institutional network
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language, as well as English
Additional information
- 4-year renewable mandate as ordinary HES professor, institute head. It is associated with an indefinite employment contract as associate HES professor
