Scientific Archivist
Office for Culture | State Archive | 70-80% | Chur
The State Archive of Graubünden is responsible for securing and continuing the historical legacy of the canton and makes its holdings available to research and the interested public. In the coming years, the takeover and processing of the Rhätische Bahn archive are planned.
We are looking for a scientific archivist for the State Archive starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- You manage the archive holdings of the Rhätische Bahn and related documents and are responsible for all core archival processes in this area.
- You strengthen the cataloging/digitization team and independently carry out projects in this area.
- You participate in the public relations work of the State Archive and advise users and research projects.
What we expect from you
- You have a university of applied sciences degree in Information Sciences, a degree in History, or a comparable education, as well as good knowledge of archival work processes.
- You work result-oriented, efficiently, and precisely.
- You bring experience in project management and communicate convincingly and clearly.
- You have high social competence and enjoy working in a team.
- Good IT skills as well as knowledge of the canton of Graubünden, its languages, and its history, especially railway history, are an advantage.
