What to expect
- You lead, coach and develop an engineering team with a focus on responsibility, quality and continuous learning
- You work hands-on in development – from the first idea to go-live
- You collaborate closely with product management, stakeholders and adjacent teams to implement modern and future-proof software solutions in the area of sourcing & purchasing
- You use modern architectural concepts such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Self-Contained Systems (SCS), Data Mesh and develop interface designs and modular components within the team
- You ensure high code quality – through code reviews, pair programming and structured testing processes
- You optimise our development and operational environments (CI/CD, DevOps practices) and ensure smooth deployments
What you bring
- You have several years of experience (at least 5 years) in software development, including at least 1 year in a leadership role; ideally in e-commerce or similar
- You feel comfortable in short, agile sprints and drive automation so that your team quickly delivers stable, functioning software
- You bring solid knowledge in Java and SQL / data modelling, as well as experience with CI/CD and DevOps – cloud experience is an advantage
- You have strong communication skills and a leadership mentality – empathetic, clear and motivating
- You create a trusting team environment, support an open error and learning culture and use tools to strengthen motivation and collaboration
- You are familiar with modular software architecture, interface design and asynchronous data processing
- You have a degree in (business) computer science or an equivalent qualification
