In order to strengthen its team, the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Service of HUG is looking for a:
Postdoctoral Researcher at 70%
The selected candidate will join the endocrinology research group led by Prof. François Jornayvaz. This group works on the hepatic consequences of obesity and type 2 diabetes (MASLD/MASH). The laboratory primarily uses in vivo approaches.
This position is part of a project funded by the Swiss National Fund (FNS).
The selected candidate will work in collaboration with a senior researcher, a master's student, and a technician to develop research plans, conduct the corresponding experiments, and analyze/interpret the obtained data.
This translational project offers the opportunity to work with experts in endocrinology/diabetes within a rich collaborative ecosystem, including HUG and the Faculty of Medicine.
The candidate will participate in the laboratory's weekly seminars, present their work at departmental seminars, and contribute to scientific publications.
They must possess good interpersonal skills, a strong motivation to work in a team, openness to feedback, and the ability to work independently.
