For our Radiation Monitoring Proton Accelerator group, we are looking for a
Your tasks
You will carry out the necessary measurement and documentation work for the release of materials from the accelerator area, in particular steel waste from the PSI decay storage facilities. In addition, you will support the team in ensuring operational radiation protection for the various specialist groups in the accelerator facilities at PSI. Measuring ionising radiation and interpreting it, checking materials from controlled and monitored areas, as well as monitoring and carefully recording radiation protection-relevant activities are also part of your duties. You will be supported by a well-coordinated team.
Your profile
You have a technical vocational education (or university of applied sciences) with several years of professional experience, preferably in chemistry, electrical or measurement technology. In addition, you have recognised and valid training in radiation protection, preferably as a radiation protection specialist. You look forward to applying your experience in radiation protection at the Paul Scherrer Institute. You will work in a new environment where taking responsibility, good team and communication skills, as well as precise working methods, come into their own. You have good MS Office skills and preferably experience in document creation, are proficient in the German language, and ideally have good English skills.
