Open and Church Youth Work (Maternity Cover with Option for Permanent Employment)

As the association Cevi Gossau ZH, we are responsible, through a service agreement with the political municipality of Gossau ZH, for the open youth centre, shape the youth work of the Reformed Church Gossau and have a large Cevi youth group. Around 200 young people participate in our offerings – these are enabled and supported in their voluntary commitment by five employees.

OPEN YOUTH WORK

Co-management of the youth centre "Pöstli" (40%):

• Running the youth centre together with a youth worker and a team of volunteer young people (presence time: Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, Friday evening)
• Networking and public relations work
• Advising/accompanying young people
• Administrative tasks
• Further development and maintenance of the centre

CHURCH YOUTH WORK: Various offers (10–40%)

• Accompanying the partner offer "roundabout" (girls' dance group)
• Depending on your talents, training and passions, further areas of church youth work can become part of the employment. For example, main leadership of a youth camp, youth service, accompaniment and further development of various projects and areas of activity.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

• Social professional training (Social Work FH, Sociocultural Animation FH, Community Animation HF, Social Pedagogy FH/HF) or willingness to start such training.
• Passion for youth work, initiative, organisational skills
• The Christian faith is important to you.
• You are rooted in the region or can imagine that Cevi Gossau and the Reformed Church Gossau will become your home.
