Lecturer HKB-E 56 - 88%The Bülach Vocational School (BSB) is the cantonal vocational school in the Zurich Airport region. As a competence centre for commercial and electrical professions, we teach around 1,300 learners in basic education (all commercial profiles, electrical installer, assembly electrician). In addition, aircraft polymechanics complete their school-based basic education at our vocational school, and adults can further their education or catch up on apprenticeships in the school's areas of expertise. The Bülach Vocational School (BSB) is the cantonal vocational school in the Zurich Airport region. As a competence centre for commercial and electrical professions, we teach around 1,300 prospective commercial employees as well as electrical installers, assembly electricians, and aircraft polymechanics in basic education.
In the Business Department, around 25 teachers instruct learners of the vocational baccalaureate type Business as well as commercial employees with a Federal VET Diploma according to BIVO 2023. Due to the absence of a teacher, we are looking for one or two lecturers for the competence area E (application of technologies in the digital working world) starting at the beginning of the 2026/27 school year (17 August 2026). The substitutions are expected to last until the end of the semester, possibly for certain lessons until the end of the school year. The option for an extension is not excluded.
Your tasks
You will teach in the HKB-E classes in the first and second year of apprenticeship with four and two weekly lessons respectively. As part of the professional assignment for lecturers, you will also collaborate in the subject team, for example in the preparation of performance assessments. The lessons are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday for the first-year classes and Friday for the second-year classes.
Your profile
You hold a teaching diploma for full-time or part-time teaching in the subject IKA from PHZH or EHB or an equivalent pedagogical qualification or are willing to obtain one. Ideally, you have practical experience from the business sector. Furthermore, you can demonstrate teaching experience at secondary level II. You approach others with openness and respect, possess high social competence, and enjoy working with young learners. Additionally, you are characterised by flexibility, initiative, and an independent working style. You are a communicative, open-minded, and consensus-oriented personality and can quickly integrate into an existing team.
