The People & Culture division of the Biel Hospital Centre shares responsibility for managing personnel requirements and deployment and makes a significant contribution to the further development of the overall organisation. In this role, you will be active in the areas of payroll and social security. Together with our payroll and social security specialists, you will ensure a high-quality, timely, and legally compliant processing of our processes.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an immediate or agreed start for a:
Specialist in Payroll and Social Security (80-100%)
Your tasks – our position
- You participate in the monthly payroll processing as well as in monthly and annual closing tasks and carry out the necessary checks and reconciliations.
- You ensure high data quality in our HR systems and work on the interfaces to financial accounting.
- You independently handle a variety of topics related to social security – from illness and accident cases to EO and maternity/paternity leave, as well as entry, exit, and change notifications.
- You liaise with social security institutions, authorities, and offices and ensure the correct social security treatment in payroll processing.
- For more complex questions in payroll and social security, you are a competent contact person for our internal partners.
- You work closely with the payroll specialist, the social security specialist, and other internal departments.
- In case of absences, you take over the representation in the payroll and social security accounting of our subsidiaries and ensure the timely continuation of processes.
- You actively contribute your expertise to the team and participate in the further development of processes, controls, workflows, and projects.
Your skills – our requirements
- You have a commercial or equivalent basic education and have further trained in the HR field, for example as an HR specialist with a federal certificate or with further training in payroll and/or social security.
- You bring professional experience in payroll processing and social security matters.
- You have good knowledge of Swiss social security and a good understanding of accounting contexts.
- You have very good user skills in MS Office and ideally experience with SAP and Abacus.
- You communicate very well in German and French, both orally and in writing.
- You convince with a strong numerical understanding and a structured, reliable, and efficient working style.
- Networked thinking as well as a good understanding of processes and interfaces characterise you.
- You are communicative, responsible, and enjoy working with different contacts.
