Your Tasks
As a Train Traffic Controller (50% share):
- You ensure safe, punctual, and customer-oriented handling of railway operations on the route network from Bern to Solothurn / Worb Dorf / Unterzollikofen as well as connection security to bus and train
- You control train and shunting traffic at the RBS hub
- You ensure safe operation and comprehensive information in case of incidents and disruptions while complying with applicable regulations and rules
- You manage personnel deployment in case of short-term absences
- You create and communicate necessary instructions to locomotive staff and/or other recipients
In the Regulations Team (50% share):
- You ensure representation of railway operations and participation in construction projects with safety systems
- You work in working groups or projects as well as in process revisions
- Coordination, development, and publication of internal operating regulations and operating instructions
- You are responsible for implementing the nationwide train service regulations (FDV) and their updates at RBS
- You maintain the directory of valid regulations / rules
- You regularly check checklists (train service, disruption management, etc.)
You Bring
- A completed training as train dispatcher or train traffic controller
- Willingness to complete the 6-month internal training (with full salary payment)
- High resilience, quality awareness, team orientation
- Willingness to work evenings/nights and weekends
- Very good knowledge of railway operations and related regulations and rules
- Very good technical understanding in the field of railway infrastructure, especially safety systems
- Good ICT skills and communication ability in spoken and written form
- Project experience is an advantage
