The HR Business Partner supports the People & Culture function in delivering operational HR services across designated business areas. The role provides consistent advice on policies, processes, and employee matters. It contributes to the implementation of people-related initiatives across the employee lifecycle and supports the coordination of HR activities, with a focus on compliance, employee experience, and alignment with organizational priorities. The position serves as a connection point between People & Culture and the wider business, assisting in day-to-day HR operations and workforce programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and offboarding
- Act as a point of contact for line managers, providing guidance and support on all HR-related matters, including policy interpretation and employee relations
- Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
- Support the execution of people initiatives such as engagement programs, talent development, wellbeing, and diversity & inclusion
- Support managers in the application of performance management processes and assist in the coordination and documentation of performance improvement plans where needed
- Work closely with HR Centres of Expertise (e.g., Learning & Capabilities, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development) to coordinate and implement key projects and activities
- Support design and deliver employee trainings to build capabilities, support performance, and drive organizational development.
- Support employee relations matters by preparing documentation, attending meetings, and ensuring processes are compliant and fair
- Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to the preparation of people data reports and insights to support business decisions
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance the employee experience
- Assist in the communication and rollout of People & Culture initiatives and change programs
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
- Completed vocational training with further education in Human Resources or a related field (e.g. Personalfachmann/Personalfachfrau)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a generalist or business partner capacity
- Foundational understanding of employment laws, social security and HR best practices.
- Experience working with Workday and SAP platform and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in Production / Warehouse environment is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to learn and develop
- Confidence in addressing sensititve and critical discussions with honesty, empathy, and professionalism
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
