We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of microbubble physics, with a strong focus on imaging and acoustic characterization.
Project background
The highly interdisciplinary project is about the development, characterization, modeling, and application of micro-and nanoscale ultrasound contrast agents for molecular imaging fo a variety of diseases.
Job description
- Conduct research on the physics of microbubbles for diagnostic (and therapeutic) applications
- Perform acoustic characterization and imaging studies using advanced ultrasound equipment
- Develop computational and data analysis tools for bubble dynamics and ultrasound propagation
- Collaborate closely within our interdisciplinary team, which combines expertise in chemistry, mechanical engineering, and microrobotics
- Contribute to scientific publications, conference presentations, and grant applications
- Supervise and mentor students involved in related projects
Profile
- PhD in physics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline
- Solid background in the physics of microbubbles, ultrasound, or acoustics
- Experience with Verasonics ultrasound systems
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python
- Interest in interdisciplinary research at the interface of physics, engineering, and life sciences
- Independent, creative, and motivated personality with excellent communication skills in English
