About the job
Class and annual salary (including 13th month):
7 73,556.-- / 116,071.--
Tasks:
- provide advice to families, third parties, organisations, proposing direct intervention or referring to external services, to ensure a response to all requests
- assess the needs of minors and their families to define the intervention plan
- deliver social assistance services, activating necessary resources if needed, to ensure adequate support for minors and their families
- carry out socio-family assessments requested by protection and judicial authorities, to investigate situations of potential risk or danger for minors
- assume protection mandates pursuant to art. 307 para. 3 of the CCS, to monitor distress situations, prevent the emergence of more serious problems and provide support to families
- prepare, execute and verify the placement of minors with foster families and educational centres, to ensure their protection, examining the possibility of restoring the reception conditions of their families
- collaborate with other departments of the Office to offer coordinated and synergistic interventions
Requirements:
- Bachelor SUP in social work or equivalent qualification, or, if combined with experience in individual case management in the social field, a university degree in related disciplines such as sociology, psychology, educational sciences, pedagogy
- proven experience in the field of child protection
- availability, reliability, cooperative and welcoming attitude, communication and mediation skills
- knowledge of services and authorities in Ticino
- organisational skills, goal-oriented and network working abilities
- proficiency in Italian and good knowledge of a second official language; knowledge of the third official language is a preferential qualification
- practical knowledge of main IT applications and preferably VIS
- driving licence and willingness to work outside office hours

Employment conditions:

- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
