YOUR TASKS:
Trackinsight is seeking a fund analyst to develop its Manager & ETF Selection business line. We have the ambition to strengthen our leading position on this product segment and improve customer service. We intend to achieve this by improving our fund research capabilities: due diligence process, construction of ETF Buy Lists based on clients’ fiscal and regulatory constraints, portfolio model construction, and best execution workflow analysis.
Your primary responsibilities will include (with some priorities depending on the candidate):
Due Diligence Process and ETF Selection:
- Assist the dedicated team in preparing Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), including DDQs on Active ETFs, and perform thorough analyses on behalf of clients.
- Contribute to the implementation of clients’ customized ETF selection processes and to the construction of resulting cross-asset Buy Lists.
- Proactively engage with asset managers to collect key information while fostering and maintaining strong relationships with our counterparties.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the ETF ecosystem.
- Support the desk by contributing to clients’ daily requests.
Analytics Tool Enhancement:
- Collaborate on improving and enhancing analytics tools used by the team.
- Optimise current workflows and processes, reducing manual tasks.
- Automate internal processes to focus on qualitative analysis.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Engage in daily internal interactions with various teams. (Tech, Marketing, Research…)
- Foster effective communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.
YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS:
The candidate should meet the following requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA) is an asset.
- Experience in fund research and selection is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French are mandatory.
- Strong interest in client relations and communication.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R and VBA) is an asset, as well as in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manipulate large data sets is mandatory.
- Knowledge of financial analysis tools.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
Between 2 and 3 rounds of interviews: both fit and technical questions.
