About the job
In the role of occupational physician, you are responsible for the care of inpatients and for the initial assessment of patients in our state-of-the-art emergency department within the service offering (basic package/primary care) at night and on defined weekend days.
You are responsible for the initial assessment and treatment of both internal medicine and surgical patients in collaboration with the internal medicine senior physician team in Zweisimmen and the surgical colleagues at the Thun hospital site. The close integration of emergency, inpatient and consultative medicine ensures continuous, high-quality care throughout the entire treatment pathway.

Experienced senior physicians are naturally available to support your professional development. Participation in the well-remunerated specialist on-call duties (standby) is expected.

How to become part of our team
- Swiss diploma or recognised equivalent as a physician (recognition by the Federal Office of Public Health or the Medical Professions Commission MEBEKO)
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine (Switzerland or EU/EFTA) with experience in clinical emergency medicine, interdisciplinary focus "Clinical Emergency Medicine SGNOR" desirable
- Enjoyment and interest in a varied activity within a broad treatment spectrum
- Clinical experience in emergency treatment of acute and subacute medical and surgical events
- High social competence, teamwork skills and a professional demeanour
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (at least C1), foreign language skills are an advantage
