The gibb Vocational School Bern is a cantonal vocational school of the Canton of Bern. We teach around 7,000 young people in more than 60 professions and train about 1,000 professionals part-time in higher vocational education (HBB). Our four media libraries are lively places that support learners, students and staff of gibb with a diverse media and advisory service. For our team, we are looking for a committed person who helps shape and actively contributes.

Tasks
• User service: lending, returns, reminders, media exhibitions • Advice: imparting information and media literacy, introduction to the media library • Indexing: importing external data, cataloguing according to RDA standard in Netbiblio • Participation in stock development and expansion, maintenance of the media offer • General library tasks
Requirements
• Information and Documentation Specialist EFZ or comparable qualification • Independent, careful and goal-oriented way of working • Enjoyment in working with young adults and teachers • Experience in imparting information literacy as well as didactic skills • IT affinity and confident handling of digital media, ideally knowledge of Netbiblio
We offer
We are a small, committed team and offer you the opportunity to contribute your ideas. You can expect a varied activity at a lively school that is constantly developing. You benefit from regular working hours without evening and weekend duties. In addition, there is the possibility to work more during the school term and take time off during the school holidays. A minimal increase in the employment rate is currently being examined but cannot be guaranteed.
