The Civil Engineering Office of the Canton of St.Gallen is responsible for the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of the cantonal road network, which comprises around 650 km of roads. The cantonal road inspectorate ensures the operation and maintenance of the cantonal roads according to business management principles.
We are looking for an immediate or agreed upon
Project Manager Road Infrastructure (m/f/d)
Workload: 80-100%
Workplace: St.Gallen
What to expect
- Project management and support in maintenance management
- Support in managing the Logo database (GIS knowledge advantageous)
- Support in strategic maintenance planning of road infrastructure including all ancillary facilities as well as in the associated reporting
- Tendering of condition surveys
- Preparation of calculation bases, statistics, and evaluations
- Development of standards and processes for regular procedural workflows
- Project management of special projects such as digitization projects and development projects (e.g., key figure cockpit, fleet management) for the road inspectorate
- Deputy in the area of road police permits and, if interested, support in the area of traffic safety
What distinguishes you
- Civil or industrial engineer (ETH/FH)
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics or to independently acquire in-depth knowledge in fundamentally known topics
- Knowledge in handling road construction projects and road maintenance
- Professional experience in project management of interdisciplinary projects at the interface between construction and administrative organization is an advantage
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and independent work
- Sense of responsibility and high goal and quality orientation
