The Faculty of Law is one of the oldest of the seven faculties at the University of Basel. It covers teaching, research, and services in the field of law. It has around 250 staff members and over 1,200 students.
At the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel, several positions as assistant to Prof. Dr. Schroeter, Chair of Private Law, are to be filled as of 1 December 2025.
Your tasks
Your tasks as an assistant include supporting the research and teaching activities at the chair. Your main focus will be on research and review tasks as well as contributions to current projects.
Your profile
We are looking for bachelor students of law (3rd semester or higher) who are interested in contract law, UN sales law, and international commercial law. An independent, careful, and structured way of working as well as good communication skills, especially in English, are required. The willingness to familiarize yourself with new, unknown topics and working methods is a key element for successful teaching and research, which we want to achieve together in our team. For this, we want to attract students early who are willing to contribute to the chair.
