In summer, around 150 Valais Blacknose sheep graze on the Gornergrat and can be visited in the wild. For our summer offer "Meet the Sheep" at the Gornergrat, we are looking for a committed and reliable person from August to early September 2026 who enjoys guest contact and wants to actively shape a unique nature and cultural experience. The focus is on respect for animals and nature, confident interaction with guests, and independent work in an alpine environment.
Your Area of Responsibility
- Daytime care of around 150 Blacknose sheep at the Gornergrat
- Informing international guests about the Blacknose sheep as part of "Meet the Sheep" and ensuring respectful coexistence between guests and animals
- You are available for media work (interviews, photo shoots, etc.)
- Support in creating social media posts
Your Profile
- Respectful approach and interest in working with Blacknose sheep
- You enjoy working with international guests and ideally have experience in tourism
- Interested in topics related to sustainability, flora, and fauna
- Very good oral skills in English and German, Italian and other languages are an advantage
- You are not camera-shy; a TV shoot or interview does not throw you off
- Good basic fitness, endurance
