The municipal administration of Birsfelden is a modern service company that provides a variety of tasks for around 10,500 residents.

In the Finance Department we are looking for our tax team immediately or by arrangement a

Tax Clerk (80 - 100%, m/f/d)

In this role, you act as an operational link between the residents and the cantonal tax office. You ensure that taxes can be levied fairly, legally and on time, so that the municipality can finance its public duties, among other things. You appreciate the exchange with the population and have a strong flair for numbers.

Your main tasks are:

• Assessment of tax returns from employees
• Answering questions from the public as well as taking on counter and telephone services
• Handling correspondence with taxpayers and authorities
• Supporting and assisting in the training of apprentices
• Various administrative tasks such as processing changes, archiving tax files, etc.

For this role you gladly bring:

• Completed commercial apprenticeship preferably in a public administration or equivalent training as well as several years of professional experience in taxation
• Commitment, flexibility as well as a reliable and efficient working style
• Confident German (written and spoken), good communication skills and foreign languages are an advantage
• Precise working method and high independence as well as customer orientation
• Good ICT skills (MS Office and Innosolv)
• Team spirit and resilience
