Valucor is an actuarial consulting firm with locations in Zurich and Liechtenstein. Our team of eight consists of qualified actuaries as well as employees training to become SAV actuaries. Our clients include health, life, and property insurers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, whom we support with actuarial and regulatory issues as well as data- and model-driven analyses. Many of these client relationships have existed for years.

The position is aimed at career starters as well as individuals with up to two years of professional experience who wish to complete or have already begun the training to become an SAV actuary. Due to our size, you will take on responsibility early and work directly with our clients.

Start date immediate or by arrangement

Your role:

• Assisting with the valuation of insurance technical provisions as well as SST and Solvency II calculations within our mandates as responsible actuaries and as the actuarial function
• Assisting with the review and calculation of premiums as well as profitability analyses for various insurance branches
• Preparing reports, presentations, and analyses for clients, management, and supervisory authorities
• Data preparation, data analyses, and automation of evaluations and processes
• Participating in projects at the interface of actuarial science, data analysis, and technology

Your profile:

• Completed university degree (university or university of applied sciences) in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, physics, data science, or a comparable quantitative field that enables entry into the SAV actuary training
• Started SAV training and initial practical experience in the actuarial environment, insurance industry, or data analysis are advantageous
• Programming and data analysis skills, especially in Python or R, as well as good Excel skills
• Interest in data management, data-driven solutions, and automation
• Analytical thinking as well as a structured and independent working style
• Very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills (at least B2) in spoken and written form, as communication with our clients is predominantly in German
• Valid work permit for Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship or corresponding permit). Unfortunately, we cannot process permit applications for persons from third countries.
