As a Data Governance Specialist (Lead Data Steward), you are responsible for data management and data governance at Stadtwerk Winterthur. You ensure that data is managed as a strategic resource with high quality, consistency and compliance. In doing so, you coordinate collaboration between departments, IT and other stakeholders and make an important contribution to digital transformation.Your tasks
- Development and further development of the data governance strategy as well as definition and implementation of guidelines, standards and business rules
- Ensuring data quality and managing the entire data lifecycle taking into account legal and internal requirements
- Definition of data access and role models as well as coordination of collaboration between departments, IT data protection and IT security
- Planning and conducting data audits as well as monitoring compliance with data governance, compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. ElCom and metering data)
- Leading the committee of the Subject Matter Information Owners (FIE), prioritising data initiatives and participating in cross-departmental projects
Your profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, computer science or a comparable field. Further training in data governance, information management or data management is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in data management or data governance as well as sound knowledge in the areas of data quality, data modelling, master data and metadata management
- Good knowledge of relevant data protection and compliance requirements as well as a good understanding of databases
- Structured and analytical working style, networked thinking as well as the ability to sustainably establish standards and processes
- Strong communication and moderation skills as well as strong assertiveness in dealing with different stakeholders
