Are you passionate about defence policy topics and want to help shape the "Zeitenwende"? Are you keen to contribute to strategic recommendations for top management? We are looking for a committed individual to strengthen our defence policy team as Head of Office Koblenz, starting immediately.
Tasks
Our cooperation with the Air Force and the Naval Air Command is the focus. We are proud to be able to expand this collaboration in the future: F-35A, CH-47F "Chinook", P-8A "Poseidon", the "PEGASUS" weapon system and the BMVg flight readiness.
Your tasks within this position:
- Building and expanding networks within the BAAINBw, Bundeswehr Planning Office and the Federal Ministry of Defence
- Evaluation of conceptual, planning and budgetary ideas of the Bundeswehr
- Preparation and follow-up of high-level meetings with the official side
- Maintaining contacts with current and potential industry partners
- Preparation of analyses, briefings, statements, background and position papers
- General office management as well as handling all organisational and administrative tasks

Requirements

You should bring the following qualifications for this position:
- Relevant professional experience, e.g. in the Bundestag, ministries, Bundeswehr or in the political sector of companies
- Completed university degree in political science or comparable qualification
- Market knowledge in the field of defence policy, planning systematics as well as structure and process organisation of the Bundeswehr
- Ideally an existing good network to the BAAINBw
- Officer career in the Bundeswehr advantageous
- Ability to think in complex scenarios
- Empathy, interpersonal communication skills & commitment
- Creativity, conceptual and organisational strength, good time management & quality awareness
- Confident handling of MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel & Word
- Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
