About the job
About us
Renold & Partner is a specialised consulting boutique for energy supply companies in Switzerland. We combine profound expertise in finance and accounting with industry knowledge and regulatory understanding. As a two-person operation, we are well established in the energy sector.
We accompany our clients throughout the entire regulatory process. In doing so, we not only handle regulatory requirements but always consider their impact on accounting, finance, and business development. The basis of these processes are Excel-based data models and tools.
Your role
As a consultant, you gradually take on responsibility for the regulatory processes of our clients. You work closely with management and directly with the responsible persons at the energy supply companies.
- Planning, coordination, and execution of regulatory processes
- Linking regulatory requirements with their financial impacts
- Preparation, validation, and analysis of financial, cost, and operational data in accounting
- Further development of Excel models and data structures
- Consulting and support of clients and mandates
You recognise connections, question existing practices, and increasingly develop into entrepreneurial consulting for our clients.
Your profile
- Education with a clear focus on finance and accounting, for example, a university of applied sciences degree, professional certificate in finance and accounting, fiduciary or auditing
- Already existing professional experience, preferably in accounting or a comparable financial area
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping, financial statements, and financial relationships
- High affinity for Excel and enjoyment in further developing models and working tools
- Enjoyment of direct client contact
You do not yet need to know the energy sector in detail. What matters is that you understand the financial fundamentals, quickly grasp connections, and are willing to work intensively on the regulation of the Swiss energy industry.
Advantageous
- Knowledge in cost accounting, controlling, or tariffing
- Experience with the preparation or analysis of annual financial statements
- Knowledge of the Swiss energy sector or regulatory topics
- Advanced Excel skills, for example, Power Query, Pivot, or VBA
- Initial project or consulting experience
Personally, you bring
- High willingness to learn and enjoyment of complex professional contexts
- Independent, structured working style with high initiative
- Flexibility in dealing with different tasks, clients, and professional issues
- Familiarity with the Swiss SME culture and regional client proximity
- Willingness to travel for client assignments in German-speaking Switzerland
What we offer
- Plenty of creative freedom and the opportunity to actively shape the further development of the company
- A solid career path with growing responsibility and the opportunity to build up profound knowledge in regulation, finance, and consulting
- Challenging mandates in a specialised and future-relevant industry
- Mutual flexibility in shaping the collaboration
Workplace
- Office in Technopark Brugg
- Assignments at clients in German-speaking Switzerland
- Home office
