Do you have experience as a machinist or know how to operate heavy machinery, and are you ready to train for a unique profession on the water? This position offers you a varied technical daily routine at the heart of our dredging extraction operations.
What awaits you:
- Extract the raw material while respecting the defined depths and slopes
- Position and move the dredger according to safety instructions and material quality
- Ensure routine maintenance, servicing, and cleaning of the dredger
- Manage fuel and parts stocks on the dredger
- Work closely with teams for loading the boat
- Be trained internally to obtain the boat license (cat. C)
- Actively participate in maneuvers: mooring, docking, loading/unloading
What you bring:
- Experience or basic training as a machinist or heavy equipment operator
- Boat license cat. C and cable shovel: an advantage (otherwise training provided)
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, lake navigation, map reading, and IT
- Team spirit, sense of responsibility, and good communication skills
- Analytical skills, thoroughness, and responsiveness to unforeseen events
- Motivation, autonomy, and willingness to learn a technical profession on the water
- Personal commitment to health and safety at work
