Focus on Waste Management

Waste management forms an important focus of your work with around 40%. The remaining 60% includes versatile depot tasks where you lend a hand wherever support is needed.

Your tasks

• Care and maintenance of waste collection points and their surroundings

• Daily waste collection route according to instructions

• Maintenance and upkeep of municipal green spaces as well as outdoor facilities such as sports grounds, outdoor swimming pool, school, etc.

• Maintenance of public infrastructure, especially traffic network, pavements, roads and properties

• Assistance with winter services, markets, carnival and other events

• Assistance with cemetery and burial work

• Cooperation with other departments of the municipality

Your profile

• Driving licence category B and ideally category BE

• Craftsmanship skills and enjoyment in tackling tasks yourself and finding solutions

• Independent and reliable working style

• Good manners and enjoyment in contact with the public

• Team spirit and willingness to take responsibility

• Enjoyment of varied work outdoors and in all weather conditions

• Willingness to work irregular hours, especially during winter as well as at markets, carnival and other events

• Good knowledge of German

• Ideally residence in Gelterkinden or the surrounding area and good local knowledge
