Freight Forwarding Clerk Air Freight Export

Initial Situation

Export is your thing. Import rather "I can do it too, but it doesn’t have to be every day"?

For a forwarding company we are looking for a personality with experience in air freight and a clear focus on export. You handle your shipments independently, take care of customers, airlines and documents, and ensure that the goods arrive on the right plane on time. Import is also part of it – but to a lesser extent.

Tasks

• organise and monitor air freight shipments
• prepare transport documents / AWBs
• invoice the services
• prepare quotations
• check freight documents
• handle complaints
• prepare import and/or export documents
• general tasks in the administrative area

Requirements

• completed training as a freight forwarding clerk or in a comparable field
• several years of professional experience in air freight forwarding is an advantage
• solid knowledge of air freight processes and regulations
• practical experience in dealing with customs and dangerous goods regulations

IT

MS Office - good user skills

Languages

German: m+s very good
English: m+s good knowledge

Special

The focus here is clearly on export. You have your own shipments under control and accompany them from the enquiry to departure. Import is also there – but don’t worry, you don’t suddenly have to become an import specialist. If you can do air freight export and prefer to get stuck in rather than pass on, this could be a good fit.
