Nursing Service Internship
Profile
The Pediatric Institute of Italian Switzerland offers the possibility to carry out different types of internships to those who wish to undertake basic training as a nurse:
a) trainee: orientation internship to evaluate a possible enrollment in one of the training courses to obtain the nursing diploma
b) pre-Supsi trainee: internship required by Supsi for students who wish to undertake the bachelor in nursing care
c) SSSCI trainee: internship required by the SSSCI (Higher Specialized School in Nursing Care) for students who wish to undertake the training of
SSS nurse
d) medical student: internship required by some Swiss medical faculties to be completed either before the start of studies or by the end of the 1st year of university training
The availability of internship positions depends on service needs.
Necessary requirements
- intention to undertake professional training in the nursing field
- minimum age 16 years completed
b) pre-Supsi trainee:
- enrollment at SUPSI
c) SSSCI trainee:
- enrollment at SSSCI
d) medical student:
- enrollment at the medical faculty of a Swiss university
