The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, with the Herisau Acute Hospital and the AR Psychiatric Centre in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

We are looking for

In the Finance Department, we are seeking a Senior Controller as of 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, for a workload of 80-100%.

Attractive tasks

• Professional and operational responsibility for operational accounting with cost centre and cost unit accounting according to REKOLE®
• Contact person for questions regarding the cost accounting of SVAR for internal and external stakeholders
• Conducting regular REKOLE® audits and recertifications
• Preparing reports, statistics, special analyses and cost-effectiveness calculations
• Support in the development and further advancement of the Management Information System (MIS)

Therefore, we want you to

• Have a commercial basic education with business management further training (HF, FH) or an advanced education in accounting (for example, federal specialist certificate)
• Have professional experience in a similar role in healthcare or the willingness to quickly and independently familiarise yourself with new subject areas
• Have knowledge of REKOLE® is an advantage
• Have very good user skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
• Work reliably, in a structured and precise manner
• Have a high service orientation and communication skills, even in hectic times
• Have good integration and team skills
• Be flexible in terms of timing for final tasks and reporting
