About the job
REHAB Basel, Clinic for Neurorehabilitation and Paraplegiology, treats and rehabilitates patients with spinal cord injury, brain injury, and related conditions following accident or illness.
In paraplegiology, we specialise in the treatment of patients with traumatic or disease-related spinal cord injury. Initial rehabilitation begins immediately after acute medical care in our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). In follow-up rehabilitation, we also treat patients with complications such as pressure ulcers, spasticity, pain, bladder and bowel disorders.
The interprofessional team addresses topics such as visible and invisible disabilities, coping with crises, new life plans, and ethics, and responds flexibly and committedly to the different patient situations.
The goal is to achieve and maintain the greatest possible independence in daily life and the best possible reintegration into the social and, if applicable, professional environment.
