In the "International Supervisory Cooperation" team, you can expect a variety of tasks at the intersection of policy work and international representation of interests.
Main tasks
- Participation in the strategic management of FINMA's external appearance and positioning on the international stage, especially coordination of international relationship management with foreign supervisory authorities at the executive level
- Advising and representing interests on cross-sectoral issues with international, economic, political and legal relevance, especially in the areas of international supervisory cooperation and market access
- Monitoring and analysing international policy and regulatory developments in the financial market sector (especially the EU) and assessing their potential impact on the Swiss financial centre and FINMA's supervision; developing corresponding courses of action
- Processing, supporting and coordinating internal projects and interdisciplinary dossiers as well as representing FINMA in cross-authority work
Profile
- Completed master's degree in economics, law, international relations, politics or similar; additional qualifications advantageous (doctorate, bar admission)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the public or private financial market environment with an international focus
- Strong interest in quickly familiarising yourself with diverse, interdisciplinary topics and issues as well as coordinating projects
- Pronounced ability to classify complex matters, recognise connections and prepare and convincingly represent corresponding messages tailored to the target audience
- Structured and planned working approach in developing creative yet pragmatic solutions
- Strong hands-on mentality and service orientation towards internal stakeholders
- Very good German or French skills (C2) and good knowledge (B2) of the other language, very good English skills (C2)
