In this key position, you will help shape strategic initiatives aimed at further developing teaching at ETH Zurich. You will support cross-functional projects, analyze education policy-relevant data, and help translate insights into impactful recommendations. Join the Strategy and Analytics Group in the Rectorate and contribute to the long-term quality and innovative strength of ETH Zurich’s teaching.
Project background
As a Junior Strategist in Education, you will support data-informed strategic development in the teaching domain at ETH Zurich. A core focus of your work is contributing to project-based and applied research through qualitative and quantitative analyses, such as structured interviews, surveys, or data exploration, to inform strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the quality and future-readiness of ETH Zurich’s teaching.
Your role includes preparing briefings, conducting background research, and supporting institutional projects that aim to enhance educational effectiveness and address long-term challenges, such as rising student numbers and resource constraints.
In close collaboration with Senior Strategists in Education and Business/Data Analysts, you will conduct first-round analyses, prepare summaries of stakeholder insights, and help design evaluation instruments that clarify workload, staffing, and infrastructure needs across ETH’s diverse teaching formats. You will contribute to projects such as QdL (Quantification of Teaching Loads), PAKETH (Reform of ETH’s academic calendar and examination system), Digital Campus, and Strategy for Teaching Staff, helping ETH better capture, interpret, and act on evidence about its educational system.
As a Junior Strategist in Education, you are part of the Strategy and Analytics Group, in the Unit for Teaching and Learning, within ETH’s Rectorate.
