About the job
The Hospitals of Schaffhausen include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
Do you want to shape rather than just manage? As Area Manager Psychiatry, you will take on a central leadership and management role from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement. Together with the medical and nursing management, you will further develop the Psychiatric Services, lead the administration, and ensure an economically sustainable and professional organisation. In doing so, you combine business management thinking with a strong understanding of people and the particularities of psychiatry.
The Psychiatric Services consist of the Breitenau Psychiatric Centre, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service, and the HeGeBe, and together with the Cantonal Hospital, they form one of several locations of the Hospitals of Schaffhausen. The Breitenau Psychiatric Centre in the Breite district of Schaffhausen comprises the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy with its inpatient, day clinic, and outpatient treatment offerings, as well as long-term psychiatry.
