Your new role
Discover the world of communication in politics and authorities and experience the diversity of the City of St.Gallen. Whether schools, urban greenery, or the tax office: here you will gain communication experience in a thematically diverse field. From press releases to TikTok, you will learn in your work at the newsroom how to strike the right tone across all our channels. The internship lasts 6 months and starts at the beginning of February.
The internship is aimed at students or individuals currently undertaking further training in the field of communication. In exchange with the internship office of the St.Gallen City Police, you will also gain insight into event communication of an emergency services organisation.
Contents and learning areas
- In-depth insight into political communication
- Work in the newsroom: creating contributions for intranet, staff magazine and social media in text, image and video
- Moderation of social media
- Managing Stadtmelder, info mailbox, website and alumni newsletter
- Insight into larger internal and external communication initiatives and projects
- Creating communication concepts
