Avaloq Parameter Specialist & Java Backend Developer (m/f/d)

In this versatile role, you actively engage in the further development and operation of our software in the area of investment solutions for Zürcher Kantonalbank. You apply your solid knowledge in Avaloq parameterisation as well as Java backend development to adapt the Avaloq Banking Platform and the in-house developed adapters to the requirements of our clients, users, and business processes.

As part of an agile DevOps team responsible for investment advice, asset management, and master data, you deal with topics such as portfolio management, rebalancing, portfolio optimisation, restrictions, interfaces, and integration. You work closely with various internal teams to overcome technical challenges and develop innovative solutions. Your analytical skills enable you to identify and solve complex problems while maintaining a high standard of quality.

• Parameterising portfolio management functions and master data extensions within the Avaloq Banking Platform
• Designing and developing event streaming interfaces to other software systems
• Maintaining and further developing Java-based software components
• Supporting ongoing operations as well as analysing and resolving disruptions

• Education and/or further training in computer science or business informatics or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in parameterising the Avaloq Core Banking Platform in the investment area
• Several years of experience in developing Java applications with a focus on backend (e.g. Spring, database experience and ideally (Azure) cloud)
• Experience in Python is a big plus
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience working with agile development methods
• Team player with strong communication skills and very good command of German as well as good English skills
