About the job
What to expect
- Ensuring product availability within your own area of responsibility – always with regard to target specifications, stock coverage and seasonality
- Responsibility for operational ordering: from triggering orders to checking order confirmations and maintaining backorders
- Continuous optimisation of ordering and delivery processes in close cooperation with suppliers and internal interfaces
- Monitoring delivery dates and order quantities as well as ensuring high data quality in the systems
- Resolving goods receipt and invoice discrepancies and coordinating special cases with logistics and goods receipt
- Maintaining relevant purchasing data and ensuring smooth information flow to Product Management, Accounting and other departments
- Close cooperation with various specialist departments and active shaping and further development of procurement processes
What you bring with you
- You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship or business school, ideally combined with initial further training
- You have professional experience in operational purchasing and/or dealing with manufacturers and suppliers
- You work independently and efficiently, think analytically and networked, and question processes in order to actively help shape them
- You enjoy working in a team, are resilient and take responsibility for your work
- You enjoy making decisions and are able to convincingly represent your concerns in negotiations with external suppliers through your negotiation skills
- Your German is stylistically confident, oral and written English skills are an advantage, and you are proficient in using ERP systems (Navision is an advantage) and MS Office
