In the well-coordinated team of our specialist group Debt Collection and Loss Certificate Debt Collection I, you have the chance to contribute to the development of processes and IT solutions – an exciting opportunity to bring in your ideas and actively shape your working environment. Due to a retirement succession, a position will become available from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement – perhaps just for you.
Tasks
- You competently, confidently and independently handle the cases assigned to you in our demanding legal environment
- You initiate and monitor debt enforcement procedures (SchKG)
- You independently agree on payment modalities and are responsible for their control as well as correct account management
- You ensure the collection of loss certificate claims while keeping both the situation of our customers and the interests of the City of Zurich in mind
- You communicate with our customers and third parties in writing, by phone and personally at our counter, and diligently and independently handle the daily correspondence
Profile
- Completed commercial or equivalent basic training as well as solid debt collection experience and very good knowledge of the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG)
- Good knowledge of the applications SAP HANA, ASEM and eSchKG
- Willingness to perform, confident appearance, open, persuasive communication and a solution-oriented approach to our demanding customers
- Very good written and spoken German; we would also be pleased about good knowledge of French and Italian, any additional language is an advantage
- High IT affinity, willingness to make optimal use of the opportunities of digitalisation
- Team spirit, humour, optimism and a positive view of people

About us
The City Magistrate's Office Zurich with around 60 employees is the largest minor offence prosecution authority in Switzerland. We are responsible for conducting ordinary criminal proceedings for minor offences committed within the City of Zurich. In addition, we manage loss certificates from almost all areas of the Zurich city administration.
