QM Department Specialist Responsibility EU

Main tasks in the QM specialist area (60%): Responsible for the definition, implementation, monitoring and control of quality measures based on ISO 9001, the IVR recognition guidelines for the operations centre. Responsible for recertifications.
Supports the QM Rescue management in defining and implementing the quality strategy and the resulting annual objectives. Coordinates and monitors the continuous improvement process (CIP) by collecting and evaluating data, maintaining and analysing statistics, and making recommendations.

Responsibilities in the QM specialist area (60%): Responsible for complaint management of the Operations Support Department;
Responsible for legal compliance and contact point for internal and external legal services; responsible for compliance with and monitoring of data protection legislation.

Conceptual tasks in the QM specialist area (60%): Development of quality management concepts;
Responsible for process management considering ISO, IVR and FKS; supports process owners in document maintenance and process control.

Data management in the QM specialist area (60%): Responsible for audit planning and execution of internal and external audits;
Process owner for the processes: CIP and risk management;
Responsible for data curation (creation, organisation and maintenance of data sets) of the rescue operations centre systems and applications; responsible for data management - collecting, structuring, indexing and cataloguing data for the rescue operations centre;
Responsible for providing data and information for analyses; duty officer of the Operations Support Department.

Tasks as Senior Poly-dispatcher (40%): Shift management at the rescue operations centre;
First point of contact for emergency calls for the fire brigade 118 in the canton of Basel-Stadt and the rescue services 144 for the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft; care, advice and support for people seeking help until the arrival of rescue resources at the scene, including guidance on life-sustaining measures and behavioural measures to protect those affected, the environment and surroundings; participation in specialist groups and committees.

Experience: Basic knowledge in leadership and management; basic knowledge in project management;
Good IT skills mainly in MS Office;
Good knowledge of the cantonal administration (especially the Department of Justice and Security and Rescue);
Knowledge of the Cantonal Crisis Organisation and staff work.

Education: CAS Quality Management;
Completed basic training as a
Dipl. Paramedic HF; professional firefighter;
Transport paramedic.

The rescue service as part of the Department of Justice and Security includes the fire brigade, ambulance, military and civil protection as well as operations support. It is committed to various tasks for the safety and health of the population. In total, around 400 employees are engaged - they provide first aid for health problems, intervene in fires and other incidents to protect people, animals, the environment and property, and provide various cross-sectional services.
